method of da’wah in diverse society.
Central idea : Ta’aruf, comprehend and help each other to the effisien da’wah in
multi-racial and religion.
INTRODUCTION
:
I.
The
meaning of da’wah in islam.
A.
Da'wah
is an Arabic word which means to invite or summon someone.
B.
This
term is often used to describe when Muslims share their faith with other, in order
to teach them more about Islam.
II.
Concept
of diverse society/multi-racial and multi-religious society.
A.
Multi-racial
: made up of, involving or acting on behalf of various races.
B.
Multi-religious
: belonging to or following more than one religion.
III.
Some
muslims in Malaysia mostly, fear and sometime doubtful when them go to society
to introduce about islam.
IV.
Actually,
during I’m studies at here, I involve myself to Kelab Perkim UUM for two years.
One of from club in UUM that invite student da’wah. In second year, my
experience is handle one programme in native people.
V.
Today,
I would like to explain at audiences about the method of da’wah in diverse
society.
(Transition : let’s start by the method of da’wah we can use in diverse
society)
Body
1.
First,
you must to do taa’ruf.
A.
The
meaning of taa’ruf.
1.
Taa’ruf
is derived from Arabic word.
2.
As
literally, the meaning of taa’ruf is to know each other if in Arabic and urdu’s
language means introduction.
3.
To
get to know other better. Allah says “ o mankind ! we have created you from
male and female, and made you into nation and tribe, that you may know one
another. Verily, the most honorable of you with Allah is that (believer) who
has Taqwa. Verily, Allah is all knowing, all aware.” ?(hujurat :13).
4.
Basic
of street da’wah is love and love will be begin with taa’ruf.
B.
For
example, before we start study about topic in public speaking, all of
participant in class must introduction yourself each other.
C.
So,
taa’ruf is one of all element that’s very important to somebody approach
someone.

: just how why taa’uf is important and know the meaning of taa’ruf)
2.
The
second method is comprehend each other.
A.
Comprehend
that means you understanding each other.
1.
To
inprove the affection or love, comprehend is complement after taa’ruf.
2.
Accept
the fact that the follower of other religious need to practice their religious
belief and rituals.
3.
Do
not want to be disturbed when muslim practice islam, and also do not want to be
disturbed when not-yet muslim praticing their religious.
4.
All
of fact that I said before must begins with do interact with each other between
muslim and not –yet muslim.
B.
Allah
said :
“Invite to the way of your Lord
with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best.
Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is
most knowing of who is [rightly] guided.” (An-Nahl ; 16 ; 125).
C.
Muslim
must understanding toward not yet muslim, do not very excited to judge them,
approach with good character and always give dialogs.
(
Tansition : understanding is second step after know each other, must tolerant
with other religion)
3.
The
third approach is to help each other.
A.
Muslims
should help other in all those things that are good and beneficial.
B.
There
are forbidden on muslims to return a badness if non-muslims give a badness.
1.
Allah
said :
“And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin
and aggression. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.”
(Al-Maidah ; 5 ; 2 ).
2.
Muslim
and other religion must unite and cooperation in teamwork.
3.
For
example, in university if you team member from multi-religion, still can unite
to finish the task.
C.
There
is no law or command in islam that forbids muslims from helping if this problem
humanity.
D.
Muslim
are forbidden to help in acts of sins and other religious worships.
Conclusion
I.
As
we have seen, in a multi-racial and multi-religious society, whether muslim and
non muslim should have more interfaith, inter religious and intercultural
dialogues so that the maximum degree of understanding, tolerance, harmony,
happiness and peace could be adapt in society.
II.
Islam
just not religious but its more holistic in aspect the life, this is islam “
the ways of life”.
III.
Practice
and applying this three method taa’ruf, comprehend and help each other to send
a da’wah to people.
